Glass Apple Theatre presents: The Shadows of Birds, a world premiere by Richard J. Zieman and Joel Z. Cornfield

Just out of rehab, NICOLE tries to reconcile with her mother BARBARA, on the occasion of Barbara’s retirement. Years of estrangement, regret and acrimony complicate their tempestuous relationship, and the sudden death of Nicole’s rehab counselor threatens to undo all the progress she’s made. Set in the present day.

BARBARA: female identifying, late 50’s, early 60’s, NICOLE and KYLE’S mother, retiring from her job at a big box store

KYLE: male identifying, 30-something, fireman, NICOLE’S brother, BARBARA’S eldest child

JENNIFER: female identifying, early 30’s, NICOLE’S substance abuse counselor at Hillside In-Patient Treatment Facility, nurturing and understanding

FAYTH: female identifying, thirties, also an addiction counselor, friend of JENNIFER’S

Rehearsals will begin Saturday July 27th, 2019.
Rehearsals will be Mon-Thurs 6:30-10pm, Saturdays 11am-5pm.
